My Review
I decided to give “Twisted Love” a shot after seeing it blow up on TikTok. Let me tell you, it didn’t live up to the hype at all. This book was a major letdown.
First off, the characters. They were young, alright, but they were also incredibly unrelatable. I just couldn’t invest in their lives or relate to their experiences, which made it tough to care about what happened to them.
And don’t even get me started on the romances. I was expecting some spicy and intense love stories, but what I got were relationships that felt completely unrealistic.
Honestly, “Twisted Love” feels like it’s targeted at a young adult audience, even with the spicy stuff thrown in. The writing style and overall approach cater more to the preferences of younger readers, and as a more mature reader and lover, it just didn’t work for me.
If you’re looking for relatable characters and realistic romances, I’d say steer clear of “Twisted Love.” It might be appealing to those who enjoy dramatic and over-the-top stories, but if you want something with more depth and authenticity, this book isn’t it.
All in all, “Twisted Love” fell flat on its face. It didn’t deliver on the hype it generated on TikTok, and its young characters and exaggerated romances left a lot to be desired. I’d recommend exploring other genres or finding books meant for adult readers if you want a more fulfilling reading experience.
