Publisher’s Summary
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance – and healing – in each other’s arms.

My Review
I adored the story of Nesta and Cassian. A man who refuses to surrender in the face of rejection, because deep down he understands her. He understands her vulnerabilities, her fierceness, her affection; he knows her essence. It’s the kind of love people yearn for. Her love for him is just as profound. According to her, he deserves better, someone more than her tormented heart and mind can offer, because she loves him so deeply, she has to set him free.
I mean that is a true love story, but even though it has that kind of love I can not give it a five star and that is because it was too drawn out. I mean this is the longest book I read in 2023 if that say something.
But I will forever be in love with Nesta and her character development and Cassian too. Now I can bit wait what Sarah J. Maas does with Azriel and his character.
PS. Azriel reminds me of Xaden Riorson from “Fourth Wing” and “Iron Flame” and don’t I have a lot to say about that series.

Book Quotes
Nesta had loved Cassian since she’d first laid eyes on him. Had loved him even when she did not want to, even when she had been swallowed by despair and fear and hatred. Had loved him and destroyed herself because she didn’t believe she deserved him, because he was all that was good, and brave, and kind, and she loved him, she loved him, she loved him
― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Silver Flames
Cassian leaned to whisper in her ear, “The first time I saw that look on your face, you were still human. Still human, and I nearly went to my knees before you.
― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Silver Flames
I’ll be with you every step of the way. Just don’t lock me out. You want to walk in silence for a week, I’m fine with that. So long as you talk to me at the end of it.
― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Silver Flames
I am worthless and I am nothing, Nesta nearly said. She wasn’t sure why the words bubbled up, pressing on her lips to voice them. I hate everything that I am. And I am so, so tired. I am tired of wanting to be anywhere but in my own head.
― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Silver Flames
“But I still don’t know how to fix myself.”
― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Silver Flames
“There’s nothing broken to be fixed,” he said fiercely.
I am going to tell you that you will get through it. That you will face this, and you will get through it. That these tears are good, Nesta. These tears mean you care. I am going to tell you that it is not too late, not for any of it. And I can’t tell you when, or how, but it will get better. What you feel, this guilt and pain and self-loathing- you will get through it. But only if you are willing to fight. Only if you are willing to face it, and embrace it, and walk through it, to emerge on the other side of it. And maybe you will still feel that tinge of pain, but there is another side. A better side.
